In this article, we will learn about Noun.
Noun is nothing but name of person, place, animal, thing, place etc.
Different types of Noun :-
Proper noun :-
કોઈ પણ એક ચોક્કસ વ્યક્તિ, વસ્તુ, સ્થળ કે કોઈ પણ એક નામ.
Ex :- Rahul, Surat, Parrot, Lion etc.
Common noun :-
કોઈ પણ સામાન્ય વસ્તુ, સ્થળ, કે વ્યક્તિનું નામ.
જયારે કોઈ પણ વસ્તુ ઘણી વસ્તુમાં સામાન્ય (common) હોય ત્યારે.
Ex :- Country, City, Man, Boys etc.
Abstract noun :-
જે વસ્તુ જોઈ શકાતી નથી પણ તેનું અસ્તિત્વ હોય છે તેવી વસ્તુના નામ માટે આ noun વપરાય છે.
જેમ કે કોઈ વિચારો, ગુણો અને શરતો. (idea, qualities, conditions )
Ex :- Truth, lies, happiness, sorrow, time, friendship, humor etc.
Concrete noun :-
જે કોઈ પણ વસ્તુ આપણે જોઈએ છીએ અને શારીરિક અસ્તિત્વ ધરાવે છે તેવી વસ્તુ માટે.
Ex :- Chair, table, bat, ball, water, money, sugar, etc.
Countable noun :-
જે વસ્તુને આપણે ગણી શકીયે છીએ તે દરેક વસ્તુના નામ.
Ex :- Chair, Table, Apple, Lemon etc..
Non-countable noun :-
જે વસ્તુ ગણી ન શકાય તેવી વસ્તુના નામ.
Ex :- Milk, Flour, knowledge, Ice etc.
Abstract nouns and proper nouns are always non-countable nouns.
Collective noun :-
કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ, વસ્તુ, સ્થળ કે કોઈ પણના જૂથ માટે વપરાતો શબ્દ.
Ex :- family, team, jury, cattle, etc.
Compound noun :-
કેટલીકવાર બે કે વધારે noun એક સાથે દેખાય છે અને એક જૂથ બનાવે છે આવા nounને compound noun કહેવાય છે.
Ex :- six-pack, five-year-old, and son-in-law, snowball, mailbox, etc.
